Gotlands Gummifabrik AB (GGF).
Gotlands Gummifabrik AB (GGF) was founded in 1982 by Lars Holm, Jan Hammarström and Rune Myrström. All three had worked for Trelleborg in 10-15 years. The company started by renting 800 m2 in a building in Hemse. Six people was hired at the start. Investments in 8 rubber presses and a mill was made in the beginning. Also some investments in turning machines and milling machines for mould production. The business Idea was to manufacture rubber details in most of the available rubber materials and to manufacture moulds for the machines. Short series, high quality and quick deliveries was code words for the company.
In 1986 Lars Holm took over all shares and Jan Hammarström left the company. Today we have 250-300 customers and we have a turn over of almost 30 mkr per year. About 25 % of the production is being exported and we have about 25 employes.
We are certified according to ISO 9001 since 1997. We are also certified according to ISO 14001 since 2004.
Gotlands Gummifabrik AB is now owned by a group called Garpco AB who bought the company through its subsidiary, UW-Elast AB in the spring of 2012. Lars Holm then left the company for Jimmy Hofacker in august of 2012.
