Natural rubber (NR) is extracted from the sap of the rubber tree. Also knowned as Polyisoprene.
Features are high tensile strength. Very high elasticity. Excellent electrical properties and high resistance to wear and fatigue. Natural rubber is sensitive to ozone. This can be improved with the addition of anti ozonants and waxes or by mixing the natural rubber (NR) with other sorts of rubber.
Natural rubber (NR) are used in tires, dampers, springs, rubber bearings, hoses, conveyor belts, gaskets, seals, rollers, fabrics and for medical products and also in condoms.
